I'm a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser do you recommend I buy this book? I've never read any of the editions I just now got back into the field and need some refreshers or maybe this book Valuation by Comparison: Residential Analysis and Logic?
Yes, I recommend both. You can get them as pdf's which makes searching easy (CTRL+F and fill in the search word, Enter). Of course it depends on how you like to read or look up info.
The book by Mark Rattermann is a slimmer book, practical and to the point. The 14th edition is more of a doorstopper in hard copy. I have the 14th edition in pdf and the Rattermann book in hard copy. By the way, I like Rattermann's style of writing and have other books by him. Good luck.
For a licensed appraiser the 14th edition might be a little heavy. Instead get Appraising Residential Properties by the AI. I recommend any of Ratterman's books for residential, he is good.
