Hi, I'm just cruising around to see what is going on. I'm an appraiser in Bakersfield, CA. I lived in Hedrick (SE by Ottumwa) Iowa for 27 years before moving to CA in 2000. I have a friend who is an appraiser in Fairfield. My kids still live in SE Iowa.
I will be from Iowa in about a year to a year & a half.
I'm moving to Monroe county. I'll be about 8 miles west of Lovilia in Cedar Twp.
I'm still debating about what I'm going to do when I move there. I just turned 63, so I don't think I'll be joining the rodeo circuit. My thoughts/choices so far are..........
1. Keep my appraiser license active, but teach real estate agent continuing ed and appraiser classes.
2. Do just enough appraising to keep me occupied and out of trouble.
3. Go to auctioneering school and try that for awhile.
4. Become an insurance adjuster for natural disasters/catastrophies.
5. Fish and goof off.
I will not have to work. But I can't see me just sitting around on the front porch and rocking my life away.
