Hey guys,
I am thinking about moving to Colorado and transferring my appraisal license. I currently live in Virginia Beach, VA. I was leaning towards Denver or Colorado Springs or somewhere in between. What it the typical fee for a non-complex 1004 in these areas? and what is the current turnaround time in your specific area. I appreciate the input. Thanks!

The problem is that other appraisers in those areas wont typically be excited about helping other appraisers who want to move into their turf.
(But since you're not moving to Texas, good luck to you!)

Yeah.. But I am sure there will be a few who will.

I thought about moving to Portland but then I basically have to start over. Four years ago it might have made sense.

Call their state board and ask what hoops you need to go thru. Fee and turn time vary with the economy but the "unicorn" shortage last year was centered in Denver

I've changed states twice as an appraiser and both times, the transition was easier than I expected. The first one was to Colorado back in 2006.
