Good afternoon everyone,

I am a trainee in the state of Indiana. I am submitting my application for CRA in the next two weeks. I am looking for any feedback or advice on this process. And in particular I have 3 questions all pertaining too the Appraisal Log. The certification board is reluctant to answer any questions.
1. In the Work Performed Column, it advises to state either I, II or III. I understand that each represents the numbers of hours available for work performed, but I cannot find the definitions for each category. How do I determine what work was a I, II or III.

2. In the Report Type (A-O only) column how do I determine what letter each report receives?

3. In the column A,B or C (A-O) only, same question as above or is it just a repeat of the information?

I really appreciate any help.

1. The headers on page four of your application explain type I, II, and III.

2. Assuming you are going for a resi lisence check out the column form name on page five of the application. If you are going for a cg, then Self contained, summary, or restricted.

3. Look at pages 6-10. Under the type of report, three options are given either for the number of approaches used or the size if it is land.

All of your answers are in your application...

Thanks

It was staring me in the face the whole time. Thanks Jim. Can I ask one more question:
So work performed by you is a: completed appraisal reviewed by your trainer (I did all the work)
What are the other categories under Documentary Review?
With Field Report and Separate Review and Without Field Report Separate Report?

The reason why I ask is because I'm trying to figure out hours from AMC's.

I think traditional appraisals with inspections would be a. I think b and c are appraisal reviews under us pap standards 3 - with and without an inspection. I would guess the make the broad category to catch all of the highest best use analysis, market rent analysis, reviews, etc. type of reports.

Thank you Jim that helped alot.

I see you got your answers, so all I can say is congratulations and good luck on the exam. I have an old Henry Harrison study guide, that was the bomb!!! Used that book as a study guide and past the exam the first time!!

How do I obtain a copy of this study guide?

I don't think he needs to take the exam since I presume that he should have already taken it for the trainee license and it is good for the AL as well.
AR requires a different exam however.
