Does anyone know of any appraisers in the area who would be willing to take on a trainee?
I am looking to find a Certified General Appraiser, as I am interested in eventually going after my General Certification. I am currently training just outside the KC metro under a residential appraiser.
As I learn more and get into more complex assignments, I am realizing that I am not getting sufficient guidance from my current mentor. Not trashing my mentor, but he's nearing retirement and seems to have lost all interest in this profession.
Given the fact that my practical experience hasn't been all that great, I would also entertain the idea of a good residential or general appraiser letting me follow along through a few assignments just to get a perspective of how other's get through the daily challenges of this profession.
My background: In my second year of being a trainee. All qualifying education completed. Taking the residential exam soon. Love this profession and eager to learn as much as possible.
Let me know if you have any leads.
Thanks!
