Hi,
This software vendor war stuff has me uncomfortable at many levels, the economic argument level, the personalization level, etc. Competition is fierce, we have business savvy entrepreneurs going all in trying to provide win-win economically sustainable products that all give us choices which we are free to implement or reject. I never purchased a pre 2000 Hyundai nor a Yugo or an early Japanese car before thy learned more about corrosion resistance, anyhow. LOL.
Where is Shakespeare when we really need him? Kill all the lawyers ( a metaphor, I hope) would actually, tamp down the mutual hurt Settling disputes. Judges & juries are better than vigilantes at sorting stuff out & they likely know more than us distant arm chair deciders what the overall weight of the evidence is & statistically improve upon vigilante justice.
In short, us judgmental people from distance my be only a bit more reliable than an emotionally charged vigilante. Hard to tell.
In my 30's It finally dawned on me that when someone tried to instigate a road rage incident, perhaps due to something I did wrong from their paint of view, to not participate, if possible, in the road rage party invitation.
The light bulb went off in my head that there were an infinite supply of others with a short fuse, willing to risk all of what they planned for the day & the rest of their life to satisfy some emotional short term effort to avenge an incident, whatever.
I decided that future avenger was best suited to the task A radical Sunni VS ****e scenario? I don't know. I hope they work things out too, based upon some similar moment of enlightenment. Can we get someone working on this at the State Department? LOL.
You might find this post interesting or enraging. I think it is a nice holiday story, besides, it is true.
