I have started doing more appraisals for FarmerMac and would like to try the UAAR form instead of a narrative format. I'm looking for a Word template to start with so I can incorporate it for use with Narrative 1.

Does anyone have a template they would be willing to share, or know of a source for one? I was able to find a blank PDF on the web, but it is password protected so I can't convert it to Word.

Thanks in advance.

Jim

The UAAR forms are owned by AGware and you have to buy the forms and it is a stand alone format. I think you may have 'issues' attempting to clone such forms. Perhaps you can create some similar templates in Excel to import into Narrative 1 instead. Take a couple days off and concentrate on "just doing it" and save your money or just buy the UAAR software. If you are not that swuft at Excel check your local tech shool or college and see if they don't have adult computer classes for spreadsheets. It is usually a couple nights a week.

Since you have Narrative 1 and I don't recall Farmermac actually requiring the UAAR forms. I do see a lot of FmHA forms used in same. Many software packages do have those forms.

Here is a sample one...

Thanks Terrel.

That was the download I found earlier. I'll see what I can come up with. My narratives seem to work well for them, but if it can be done more efficiently, then it may be worth putting the time in.

For the kinds of farms and land I deal with, the forms are not very good. Farmland, different story . They would be "OK"..

Thanks again. That makes me feel a little better. I found a completed appraisal and wasn't real impressed. I think I'll stick to what I've got.

Most of the appraisers using the forms work directly for Farm Credit. All the rural appraisers I know use a narrative format. The forms fit the western corn belt better than the Midwest.

The value of the AgWare Database is well worth the cost of the software. Even if you choose not to use the UAAR forms, you can create your own sales sheet in Excel and import the information from the database. I have a friend who does mostly narrative reports, but uses the datalog extensively.
