Aloha everyone,
I am originally from Hawaii but recently moved to Los Angeles to set forth on a new career path. My intentions were soley on Real Estate. I was lucky to recieve a job as a public sector appraiser associate. I am technically not an appraiser due to not obtaining a license.
My current employment has interested me in getting my Real Estate Appraisal license. I have been trying to do research but the information is so vast. I am hoping I can get some questions answered here.
1. What Appraisal schools are available in the Los Angeles area that are approved in Hawaii? I would like to return home and work as an appraiser.
I went to the State website and they mentioned something about online courses are not approved. I spoke to the personnel but I am still confused on what is valid.
2. I currently have my Real Estate Salesperson license and am a California Notary. I know about conflict of interests and what to know about any additonal warnings.
3. I currently have a BA from the University Of Hawaii so I am not worried about that requirement but I am worried about trying to obtain trainee hours. I know it is a long process and you need someone that needs to take you under their wings. Where is the best place to look for someone like this?

Thank you in advance,
Christopher

Appraisal Institute courses are recognized around the country. Your employer might even pay for them.
