Anyone have an extra copy for sale? I do not want to pay Adobe for a subscription and will pay over the retail price.

Why do you need Adobe? Nitro Pro PDF; Nuance Power PDF; PDF-Exchange; Master PDF editor and others. I have not used Adobe for probable over 10 years. My appraisal software works with several of these listed. All are much cheaper and some have more options. I am using PDF-Exchange right now but have used Notro and Master PDF.

Ugh. That is a horrible program. They infect your computer with sales pitches that do not disappear when you remove the program. I have Adobe 9 and 10 and have no intention of subscribing to it. I don't think you even get a CD do you? It is all downloaded. Go to Amazon and try to find a copy of 9 or 10. They are available. You may pay a premium. I've tried Nuance and a few others either bought or came with a computer. Foxit Software is the best of the clones but none of them function as well as Adobe when combining files, etc. I have a lot of data sent to me and I append it to my reports and then downsize the whole file. Adobe is the only one that really does that flawlessly imo. Nitro kept locking me out and would have to reload a password. It did seem to function fairly well.

had an appraisal value changed by someone in the lenders office years ago. didn't know you can change a pdf that easily. while figuring it out i noticed that alamode was using a pdf program called pdf- xchange. it is such a good program. it crops & you can add things to the pdf & remove things from the pdf. wonderful program so you can cut & paste anything from a pdf to your appraisal. i think it is reasonable priced. i stopped using adobe a long time ago. i like to put my charts & graphs in my report. i have excell charts which i cut and paste into the appraisal.

Give ABBYY software a look. They have an OCR and PDF suite of software which is pretty good at replicating most of what Adobe does. Its somewhat expensive, but still cheaper than Adobe, and it has a better user interface in my opinion. Plus the OCR is the best in the business. You can convert just about anything into Word, Excel, or other formats with incredible accuracy.
