Kind of a dart board poll but thinking personally that it is sort of a whack a mole question

What one does is either going to impact the other, or reflects what the other is doing

Mostly flat stock market (relative to inflation)
Rising oil thru winter
Flat to falling house prices. Falling in the high cost areas, mostly stable in the lower cost areas.

I voted with the 40% because China can't get its act together with Covid, their vaccines suck so oil shouldn't be a real powerhouse if they keep shutting cities down with their Zero policy.

The Fed is trying to "crash/curb" the economy to stave off inflation. Cant fight the Fed. Doing a nice job with the stock market and housing. The pieces are in place with rates. Lower everything over the next couple years..and then rates will drop once inflation is reasonable. People will than start spending, growth companies will grow, market will get going again. PE ratios on stocks will get silly high again, people will think they are geniuses when they're homes make 20% in a year..so on and so forth. Its an economic cycle..we're at the end of this one. Wait a few years for the fresh one to start after a few stagnant ones, wash, rinse, repeat. JMHO.

I do not think we've seen the bottom of the stock market yet. Less confident in the direction of oil, but expect it to rise again before falling after this Russia/Euro mess washes out. Housing has dropped dead here and with defaults on the rise expect a sizeable fall next year.

The inflation bears are back! Equities are getting crushed this morning, 10 yr up 8.5 bps! :mad2:
