What Is The Difference Between Apex Versions 6 &7?

My computer crashed taking my apex sketch program with it. I went to the Apex site to buy a new version and I noticed that version 7 is much cheaper than version 6 can anyone explain why?

I'm using 7. Layout is a bit different and some things have changed but nothing major for the way I use it. I would contact Apex for more detail.

Apex v7 was released roughly 6 months ago and the $149 cost is a promotional/discounted price to get users upgraded to our current version (retail price is $295). The promo pricing does not reflect on the purchase of Apex v6, which will most likely be removed from our (store) website soon.

Some of the main changes from Apex v6 to Apex v7 are the ability to define the area first (legacy drawing style) as was done in Apex v5 and earlier. Module support has been added and Photometrics is now “officially” supported. The Survey module is currently in a testing phase and will hopefully be released later this year. It also has “under the hood” improvements for stability and to run more efficiently on newer devices/operating systems.

No ACI integration for v7 yet?

I looked into this and was surprised to find that, for whatever reason, ACI just hasn't gotten around to implementing the standard integration tools yet.
I don't know why since we know the tools are essentially the same as the ones for Av6.
Our regular tech support people tell me that they have Av7 working within ACI here in our office, so we know it works.
I also asked my front office people and am told that ACI says they are working on integration now.

Sorry I can't give you a date - it's in their hands. Maybe it'll be available through them shortly.

PS - BTW, I am also told that the new version of the Survey Module is ready, pending them running it by me for a final sign-off. I was hoping to see it last week or this week, but now it looks like early next week. Brian tells me that the sites he has it installed in for field testing are pleased with it, but Robert still wants me to see it before it is made public.
