Hello??? Does anyone in Oklahoma read this??:new_newbie:

Oklahoma is one of Texas' smallest counties and quite barren with very few appraisers.:rof:

Mr. Wild Tim Hickups.....knows some and writes more.......I am glad to see his leading the discourse for both states because he has the time and capable conveyance of the southern to Oklahoma confusions.......the boy does not duck around at all.......always will be more of the unnecessary said in Texas and I gladly yield my part to the Tim Of Texas....................rs

Well thank you for those interesting comments. I just moved here from Arizona where I was doing commercial work. I have just been hired by a residential firm and so far its going great! Just wanted to check in with my fellow OK appraisers and see how things were going

Do what? I know they have alot (just for TC) of Native American reservations in OK, but I would have sworn they taught English in their elementary schools. I know most don't make it past elementary school in OK.

there were a couple appraisers here from the area that Texas claims to have annexed. I think they ended up being banned..

Not all have been banned! Some of us just don't have much time to post! I have an appraisal business and a 1300 acre ranch to run, along with two grandsons to raise. The last time I posted a question regarding a prospective client, I got zippo responses....not even an "I don't know them". There was a time when I posted regularly, but I am flat too busy to do much. I lurk just for another source to keep up with what is going on in the industry, but can't spend much time here.

Welcome to Oklahoma! I read the forum daily. I've learned quite a bit here but rarely do I post.

Hey, Bob how is the family...? And the ranch..Hope you have heated watertroughs or live water. I beat holes in the ice that was very very thick, half a foot, my dumdum helper tried to break it with the front tires ...and succeeded. He just didn't get back out of the pond. and a cow prolapsed in the midst of it all.

After about three days of below freezing 24 hours a day, we just moved everything into traps around the barn and ran fresh water. I've had too many friends who had cattle go through the ice and losing very many would probably be the end of us right now. The large creek that borders the ranch didn't freeze over in the middle, but I could just see cattle going out to try to drink from it!!

We survived, moved into our new house (after the fire) and have started '10 out in good health. Hope all is well in you neighborhood!
