When you are completing an appraisal NOT for lending purposes...say for estate purposes, which ACI form do you recommend using?

GPAR with the appropriate comments to the intended use and intended user(s).

Randolph is right.

The GPAR forms are very easy to adapt to. I routinely use the residential, condo and land GPAR forms. Last year almost 50% of my work load was private party work. The GPAR forms were used for all of those reports.

Rich Heyn set the GPAR series forms up so that they are very similar to the F&F forms, without some of the stuff F&F wants.

And the certification pages are good too.

Thanks, I couldn't remember what the form was called and I didn't feel like going through all the forms looking. I knew you guys would be able to help me.

Thanks again.

Hi Vivian,

I don't use the GPAR for estate purposes since it is still too lending related. The best form to use for estate purposes in the Appraisal Institute Form. It's in your software pack if you have ACI, and the form that accountants and attorneys prefer to see this type of work on. You don't have to be an AI member to use it; just check the box "no" that you are not an AI member. The AI says specifically on their website that you don't need to be a member to use it.

Sorry I was so late in posting this...but saw it now. You've probably already finished the assignment, but can use the AI form for next time.

Sorry for jumping in late here but ACI regularly has support monitoring the yahoo group. They usually jump in quickly or someone else does

Across the last year, we have updated our website with videos, tech docs, etc... Additionally we have also added a forum and have assigned a number of resources to the forum. Rich Heyn monitors the forum as well. You can join the forum at:
