I'm just wondering if the house we just put a bid in on will more than likely pass appraisal or not since we've already had one sell fall through after some issues! The entire basement in this house is finished except one large room, which I believe they plan on making a bathroom. There is a tub sitting in there and some wires hanging that have been capped off. Should any of this cause the house to not pass an appraisal?

I know our last house failed due to electrical covers and whatnot, but it was in the above grade finished space as well. Thanks for any help :)

The VA requires only repairs or corrections to safety, soundness or security issues. If anything in the unfinished basement qualifies as one of those issues, the VA may require correction or further inspection by a more qualified party. An example might be electric wiring which clearly violates local code or which looks unsafe. However, the fact the room is incomplete, in and of itself, will not cause the VA to require correction or inspection.
