I am a Certified Real Estate Appraiser in the state of Maryland/D.C. and Virginia. Based on the recent request for appraisal waivers I have decided a possible business opportunity would be for me to relocate to North Dakota for a month to help with appraisal orders since there is a three-month backlog. I am willing to do this for the month of September and will discuss the details with an appraiser in the local market that is looking for assistance. Since I am not certified in your market area, this will be assistance only arrangement. It would have to be a mutually beneficial arrangement of course since I will be leaving my business for the month.
Inbox me if you would like to discuss this matter further.

I didn't realize that North Dakota had such a high appraisal demand. Why not just get certified in N.D. or a temporary practice permit and hang a shingle? If this involves residential appraisal work it seems like it would be pretty easy to get certified in N.D., update your credentials and address on all the AMC dashboards and you would have an abundance of work the following day. How are the "reasonable and customary" residential appraisal fees in N.D.? Are the fees high enough to justify a relocation? Residential fees reached a high enough level in Colorado a few years ago to cause me to jump back in to residential appraising after only doing commercial for a decade. That has since changed and the residential fees are not what they were a short time ago. I have done specialized commercial work in N.D. in the past and it seems like a nice place to be in the summer months.
