Well I guess that we now all have to pay $70 per month for one of those fancy garbage-in = garbage-out services to fill our work file with pages of charts and graphs so we can justify the adjustment that we reasonably came up with using our 30+ years of experience.

Appraising is a lot like how they solved 'military' problems in the Mash TV Series. The UW/AMC is like the Frank Burns character who has undeserved rank. Our job is to accomplish the 'accepted' appraisal.' We know our hearts and minds are in the right place, but sometimes it requires a few lines of verbal jujitsu (and a chart) to get Frank off our back. The GSE word police have eliminated "experience" from the appraiser's vocabulary. Most 'data to charts' only have to be copied once and updated occasionally, 'good enough for government work.'
