I'm at near standstill in Central, FL. Not even CDAIR's. What's your workflow like?

I just got caught up last week from full 1004's and CDAIR's

This week I have nothing new on the calendar except finishing up 2 full (1004) reports, but I'm enjoying a slightly slower time. I've worked every day (including weekends; many days were 12+hrs) since 9/18. A couple other appraisers I know in this area (Pinellas/Hillsborough Counties) have seen things slower as well (including 2 VA appraisers)

I wouldn't mind getting new assignments to come in Thurs or Fri of this week, but I'm enjoying this slight "down time" right now

Thank you for your reply. This is what I'm reading.

Hurricane Irma contributes to September drop in Orlando home sales. Hurricane Irma helped drive Orlando’s home sales down by nearly 20 percent in September compared to September of last year, reports the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association. In addition, sales decreased by almost 30 percent when compared to last month.

“Based on our previous experience with hurricanes, REALTORS® expected September sales to post a decline,” says ORRA President Bruce Elliott, Regal R.E. Professionals LLC. “Hurricanes delay closings due to circumstances such as title companies without power and home damage that requires repair and another inspection. Hurricanes also typically cause a decline in inventory as properties are taken off the market for repair, or as owner’s stall plans to list their homes while they deal with hurricane aftermath. It’s no surprise that new listings for the month of September dropped by 31 percent compared to September of 2016.”

Want to come up and give me a hand for a while? I made my monthly goal last week. I'm inspecting two a day and do NOT like doing that. The office gets too backed up.

TYVM...definately something to think about if you're serious?

Could it be that people are waiting to find out how much FEMA will help them before they go forward on loans to rebuild/repair???

I would like to think so Noreen.

Agencies issue temporary exceptions to appraisal requirements in areas affected by severe storms and flooding related to Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria

After awhile,
does it seem like agencies are going out of their way not to have appraisals????
