Working 2 VA RLCs

Let's say you're on the VA panel & your typical (non-VA) coverage area crosses state lines. Into what would be under the jurisdiction of a different RLC. Is it possible to become a panel appraiser in the neighboring RLC in conjunction with your current RLC?

That's an interesting question, I do not believe there is anything prohibiting it in the handbook. I am certain it would depend on need. If the neighboring state is handled by another RLC and you are covering an outlying area where they have limited coverage, it would be worth a shot.

RLCs can cover large areas like California's RLC was located in Arizona and covered Nevada and other States.

YOU STILL have to be licensed in the States you work. What the RLC service area covered has nothing to do with where you can practice.

WarEagle--You're in my neighboring state. I'm in the ATL RLC with mutual recognition in FL. What region are you located? I'm considering applying to access the NW area from Tallahassee to Pensacola.

I am in NWFL. They probably added a few too many in the first three counties during the past 3-5 years. Not sure about Tallahassee but would imagine there is need around Panama City.

you need to talk to RLC. We don't know. I took on extra and had to be taken off because I could not handle the workload and travel.

RLC can tell you point blank.

Basically, if they need someone in that area, they would consider you. I probably could expand right now in same State but don't want to. I live near military base and have plenty in one county. Also happens to be largest County in Tennessee geographically.

Again if they need someone in that area, they would consider you.

Somewhat similar to getting on the panel. If they don't need anyone...............read between the lines.

You know they don't load their panel and send them no work.

If they have a shortage in that area, they would consider you. you need to talk to RLC. You are barking up wrong tree here.
