7 Hour Online USPAP Class - Appraisal Institute Vs Mckissock Vs. Calypso

McKissock charges $20 for additional states ... For me, that's +$40 for each class. Not to mention McKissock is already $4 more than AI, and that's without the $25 discount that AI members get. McKissock seems to be all about the membership fees these days.

If you want to take lots and lots of classes, then go with McKissock, pay for a package deal. If you take classes like most people, one or two at a time, then shop around.... AI ends up being cheaper. I dn't know anything about Calypso ... just verify their state approvals, etc.

I just took Calypso's 28-hour class but it does not include 2 hours in bias so I had to add that to the package

i dont know how anyone could take an AI class now...im avoiding them like the black plague...unless you need lessons on test rigging and but grabbing :ROFLMAO:

As long as there are alternatives in the market, I won't take any CE from any provider who is participating in PAREA.

I also won't voluntarily patronize any "anti-bias" instructor who hates appraisers and thinks the Sales Comparison Approach is inherently racist.

I have never paid for additional state certificate from McKissock. I just sent my PA ones to my other state when asked and never had an issue. I went with Calypso because I have a coupon code. These days I don't have the luxury to look at anything other than price as the deciding factor in what CE I take. Why pay more than I have to for what amounts to nothing more than gig work these days.
