My mentor's policy is pretty much that if you want to work you have to
find it yourself.....

Things have slowed down and I took the time to hand write a thank you
to the last six clients who ordered from us....these were clients that I personally
brought into the company.

Surprise, surprise, I received 3 orders from one and 1 each from two others.

Now this isn't much but it was still a nice surprise and it is 5 more orders than
I had...

:clapping:

Alisa

Alisa,

What did the thank you note say?

Bobby,
It was a simple:

Dear (Loan Agent),

Thank you for the recent opportunity to provide appraisal
services for your clients, the Smiths on Any Street in
San Jose.

We appreciate your business.

Oh, I threw in a business card too.

I did the exact same thing last month. TY to the prior 6 clients and I got 3 orders too! I don't want to over do it, but will sure being sending out TY notes to any new clients.

Pat,

I agree! I will be sending TY's to all new clients and the older clients
(once mine get older, grin) I will send TY's at certain intervals that
will say something like:

Dear LO,

We appreciate the recent orders you have sent us for appraisal work
and if I have't said so lately -- Thank you so much!!!

I hope you will think of us again soon for your appraisal needs.

Sincerely,

etc, etc..

ALSO: If I get orders due to a referral I plan on sending a TY note too
to the company who referred them.

:D

It does work. If I feel that I could get some good future orders I enclose a "Starbucks" gift card too. Works VERY well.

Thats awesome. In this age of technology and "impersonal" email and voicemail, it seems like a little personal touch helps things.

Funny, I've been thinking about the Starbucks card idea too. Great minds, huh?
I think it would be especially good here in CA as Starbucks is on every corner
and even some of the grocery stores have them.

:P

This is one of the best marketing techniques you could use! You can build up a really good group of clients that will send you biz and repeat biz. It can rapidly increase your orders.

How much do you put on the Starbucks card in $$

I was thinking $5 but is that enough? I do not drink coffee at all
so have no clue what it is at Starbucks.

Thanks!
Alisa
