Newsom Says California Is Now the World’s Fourth-Biggest Economy

California Governor Gavin Newsom boasted that his state has become the world’s fourth-largest economy, following only the US, China and Germany in global rankings.

The state’s nominal gross domestic product reached $4.1 trillion last year, edging past Japan’s $4.02 trillion, Newsom said in a statement, citing newly released International Monetary Fund country-level data and preliminary state data from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis.

“California isn’t just keeping pace with the world — we’re setting the pace,” Newsom said. “Our economy is thriving because we invest in people, prioritize sustainability and believe in the power of innovation.”

NEWSOM TAKING CREDIT FOR MAKING CALIFORNIA GREAT AGAIN!
Newsom is a retard or the guy writing this is making up stuff. The Japanese economy actually shrank due to population decline, even more than California's has from bad policy and migration, and the piece alludes to Newsom thinking he did something other than get up this morning. You can't make up stupid this good.

If you look at the stats, Newsom is showing how strong CA is under his watch. Good news when he runs for President.

What is strong about California under his watch? What sterling statistics are you talking about? There are declines across the board with respect to the organic economy, government balance, infrastructure decline, suck-*** roads, blah, blah, and he promotes that as a good thing regardless.

SF has a good mayor and I'm optimistic things will get better.
Oakland on the other hand is getting worst with increasing crime. New mayor Ex Congresswoman Barbara Lee just got elected and will see if she can turn the city around.

Those aren't statistics, those are your weirdo opinions. North Richmond, Richmond, and Oakland have been turned into dystopian nightmares, but Barbara Lee has the answers in the city? San Fran the city is in crisis, morally and financially, and has been for twenty years, but Barb doesn't have a clue how to turn that around.
