Anyone take either or both of these courses? Wondering what the differences are.

Residential Appraisal Review and USPAP Compliance
Evaluating Today's Residential Appraisal: Reliable Review

I took a McKissock appraisal review course a few years ago. Was underwhelmed. One big problem was that the course materials were based on one version of the Fannie 2000 and the quiz questions were based on another version of the form. In addition to that, I found that some of the answers to the quiz questions were wrong. Since you have to pass, that meant retaking the quizzes.

Maybe they have updated the courses.

I have problems with probably the majority of the tests including a question or two where it's better to have no experience than to have been around for a while and have seen exceptions to the "rule" in the text.

Gotta cooperate to graduate.

I think we're gonna see more and more of Green Mountain stuff. Connie was with another provider for several years, then struck out on her own. She has a few really good instructors she's landed there (Hamp Thomas and Keith Wolf). It's all online - which some would argue diminishes the impact, but great instructors nonetheless.

She is in the process of creating a 7-hour USPAP update course and putting together a bundled package. I stumbled across her offerings and have since created a 7-hour class she offers. I am now in the process of putting together a 5-hour class, too. Everyone I have gotten to take her current classes are complimentary of both the format and her personal availability. I find her very effiecient in my dealings with her.
