We lost many good appraisers who chose not to adopt UAD. More Grey hairs will call it quits next year rather than switching to iPad guided field inspections.

More need to seriously keep retirement in mind. A husband and wife who have put in many years with a decent salary can collect $100K+/annually from social security. And with savings in Treasuries, more income on top of that. You may not live like a King and a Queen, at least not in California, but you hunker down, tighten your belt and get by fairly nicely. It is really nice if you live in a vacation area like on the coast in California with your house paid off and Prop 13 low property tax. Some with far less income move to Mexico or South America and get by nicely. Or the Phillipines. Maybe Indonesia. And there must be some not bad places even in Africa. How about Casablanca, Algiers or Durban, South Africa.
