I don't use or have McAfee loaded on my PC. Another one that comes up is the "I am not a robot" captcha box, mostly black screen and when I "X" out of it the browser closes. Again, only on AF. Firefox.

That is the one I am getting.

Do you use a VPN? If you are logged in you should not get the I am not a robot box, if you use a VPN you might.

Logged in and do not use a VPN. The robot box shows up after logging in and being on AF for 10 minutes or so.

Yes you have to allow cookies on some sites for them to function. VPN prevents the web site from knowing who you are, like the normal nuts here. Also, some of you may have a virus, or several. Should run your virus program to check your hard drive if you see any strange pop ups.

Look up CCleaner, it will clean up your internet tracking, unless you want everyone to know what sites you visited, and looked at whatever. The paid version does it all automatically.

Absent any assistance here so far, I've worked around the problems by emptying my Temp folder and clearing Settings>Privacy, etc.>Clear Browsing before and after I log onto AF. No problems since doing that.

It might help others. AGAIN, these problems ONLY occur on AF.

Personally I wouldn't trust McAfee

I don't use or have McAfee loaded

Neither do I but it seems there is a virus or pop up - and I only get it on my small laptop (win 11)- but I've not got it on AF yet. Seems I get this on some websites but has been a while - says my "McAfee is out of date" - I assume it is some kind of virus since I don't use nor haven't in 20 years, McAfee. And if you run Defender, it claims I don't have a virus. And I run a pop up blocker but it still pops up.

McAfee and Norton have always been buggy for me. I quit them years ago. I am running edge browser on this machine.
