Front, Rear and front oblique photos Left and Right .Also street photo with subject showing.Poof , instant FHA Appraiser..

Sadly, I think that the need for side/45 degree photos must be one of the 10 test questions on the new insta-exam. How else would anyone know thats its a requirement?

2 hours is too far to drive for an appt? Damn, I better let all my people know I can't work anymore, especially since most of my places have at least an hour in between each of them.

Everything is relative, a 2 hour drive for me is definitely out of my market. No MLS data 120 miles from here.

For all inspections, I take front and rear shots at slight angles and straight on. I then take pics of each side of the house.

For FHA inspections, they get the standard front, rear, and street. (I usually try to take the street photo with a pic of the subject mail box... some houses are way too far from the street to have any other identifier). I then put in a page of four photos... front, rear, left, and right sides.

I have never had any problems by taking this approach.

I developed my inspection routine for all houses to follow the FHA approach. It does not hurt if I did more than the minimum required for conventional, and I don't have to worry about forgetting to do something for an FHA assignment.

True dat! A 2 hour drive for me can be about 60 miles.

I wonder how many of you that now take a zillion photos of the subject did so prior to digital cameras. :)

Did I hear the faint cry of a Luddite?

Anything but, Mr. Rex. I just wonder if all these people who say they take hundreds of photos did so when it cost money, that's all.

Good plan. Think I'll adopt it.
