Bankruptcy appraisal

I was flown out to San Jose, CA for multi-million estate her in MA for a federally bankruptcy trial. The other side, a creditor was trying to keep the owner in bankruptcy to force a sale. They kept pounding me about being influenced by the homeowner.

If an officer of the court asks you if the homeowner gave you his opinion of value, say yes. Wait for the second question and state the following.

“The homeowner is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts. I have prepared an appraisal with verifiable and reliable indicators of value and my opinion of value is based upon facts”.

I sent the appraisal out two days ago but I haven't heard anything back from them...guess it takes a while until they review it...or maybe I'm not going to hear anything from them :)

Bankruptcy takes a while .. so it could be weeks before you hear anything if you do. Im sure you did a great job .... reap the rewards of a job well done .. pat yourself on the back .. no one else will.
