Does anyone know where location maps can be found with comps located
without having to repurchase software updates. I am not doing enough
work presently to justify $ 300-350 to update. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry, but it's a cost of doing business. You might try something like Microsoft Streets & Trips and just change the names to Comp. #1, etc.

I'm still importing Street Atlas 2006 into my ACI 2010, even though it does not automatically locate the subject and comps. I have to locate them manually, but seeing as how I have had so much extra time on my hands these last 4 years.............

If you have that little work, then simply use Street Atlas, create a map and place arrows. Using the line feature, you can also measure the distance. It takes maybe 2 minutes more.... I print to Paperport, a virtual printer and Paperport image can then be trimmed and saved as a jpg which I import into the map or easier still, copy and paste into the map.

MicroSoft Streets & Trips less than $30 at Costco.

John's NCV Appraisal Suite is around $100.00 and it includes mapping with integrated distances from the subject to the comps.

But as mentioned, Streets and Trips will work fine for you. I use it on my laptop when in the car to locate the distance and location to properties - it's like a big GPS too.

I use RandMcnally and print the wallmap then to PDF printer and copy, paste. Then add labels in wintotal. It is usually fine except they do not convert to AI ready, you have to have software made map in Wintotal. In which case I send to colleague (in my office) to make wintotal map for clients who need AI ready. Works for me, for now.

No need to do all of that. Just right mouse click on the map and press "control C" to copy and then go to your blank map page in the appraisal and then press "control V" to paste it into the report.

MS streets and trips will do the job.
