Does anyone know if there is a USPAP course near central or south Florida coming up soon which would satisfy the Cont. Ed requirement for the Nov. 2012 lic. renewal? It may be too early for the class, but was just hoping. Would love to get it out of the way. Thanks

I dont know about central Florida but I am taking a Mckissock online USPAP course. Worked on it a little last night and am settling down to work a litte more on it now.

On line is the way to go if your state allows it. Very Convenient and work at your own pace.

I couldn't handle the Mckissock online USPAP class, I thought it was dreadful LOL. I made it through the 1st 2 chapters (with complete "mastery" as they put it) and traded for a live course.

Read the reviews on the McKissock site Shaggy and go with what you're more comfortable with. The online USPAP class is set up so you DO NOT get to print out the chapters for review of the many quizzes thrown at you. So, if you suffer from CRS like me.....go live. McKissock's other online courses are fine however.

Nothing like a "live", qualified, AQB instructor putting USPAP into perspective IMO.

Good Luck

Yep Surf Cat, I too tried to take the online course last year and ended up going to a live course.

Im thru the first two chapters and ,so far, no problem, It is very convenient.

I cant say the same for their statisitics and modeling class. though

Let's see, USPAP is due for an update to be released at the end of the year so you want to take a class now on the one we have used for a year and a half with the due date for CE in November of next year. :rof:

I have to take one in order to renew in October. No choice.

McKissock is the best online course provider because you don't have to waste your damn time when taking the course. You can hit "next" on each page without reading if you want, and if you pass the end of chapter quizzes (or whatever they may be called) and the test at the end, you pass the course. That's the way an online course should work. Why else would I trade the awesome in-class experience the MBREA offers, if not for the convenience factor?

It really is painless. A chapter a day keeps OREA away!

I understand why you would take it, but the Florida renewal cycle is November of the year new USPAP versions are released. For anyone with a mind that works rationally, it is a fairly easy task to identify the appropriate time to take USPAP update classes in Florida. The online classes are always available, but an education provider would be dumber than dirt to try to put on a live class in Florida between now and the release of the new version.
