Duplex address format

I must be misunderstanding because I thought that you reported here that mail addressed to both 100 Name and 102 Name are delivered to those mail boxes. The USPS recognizes both as legitimate mailing addresses? If yes, what's the problem?

100 Name St and 102 Name St individually are both USPS mailing address.

By this logic the address would be reported as "100 Name St and 102 Name St", because "100-102 Name St" is not USPS standard.

Where would it end. What if it were a 100 unit apartment building, do you list every USPS address on the report?

Do as you want.

That's not a duplex son, that's a multi family.

The term "duplex" has different meanings in different regions.

For example, in my area, a duplex is a 2 family dwelling. So, a reference to a duplex is always a reference to a mult-family dwelling in my area.

In other areas a "duplex" is simply two adjoined homes. In my area we call those townhomes, or zero-lot-line homes, but in some areas they are called duplexes.
