Do you use it to extract site values, effective age adjustments, and replacement cost?

We do, we were recently told by a salesperson at Marshall Swift you can't incorporate their data in an excel spreadsheet because it violates the Licensing agreement.

Anyone heard of this?

That sounds absurd. Every cost approach in a commercial appraisal that I have seen puts M&S in an excel spreadsheet (embedded in word)

If they start not allowing it in spreadsheets (how will they control that?) then they are poised to lose a lot of their business. Spreadsheets make using it for depreciated cost so very easy and clean as opposed to scribbling it all over paper which then gets lost. Of course, I haven't read their disclaimer, but I am scratching my head on this. Why on earth would they say it isn't okay if you have the subscription? Can't copy it into your workfile next?

I use building-cost.net and I am evalutating dwellingcost.com. M&S increased their price for the residential cost manual by 10%+ subscription.
