call me crazy but entering one of my email addresses, AND the password, on a site is not the way i want to go to check if i have been compromised. would you ask a stranger on the street to try to use your ATM card but tell the person behind them the password so it was "safe"?

my passwords are all a minimum of 10 characters, most larger, and contain a slew of upper and lower case letters, number and punctuation marks with none being the same.

i like it, but take it a step further. when i am forced to enter an email address i always use noway@jose.com

I got an email yesterday saying they had one of my passwords (they did - an old one) and that unless I sent them $867 in bitcoin they were going to send a split screen video of me watching **** to all of my contacts. Pretty good scam, I bet it works sometimes.

I sent them $1,623 in BiteMeCoin.
They were supposed to post pictures of (various Members of Congress, of 8 if the 87 different genders) having #Something in Puerto Rico, or Afghanistan.
Doggone Trump went & spoiled it all.

I got the same thing a few months ago. It was an old password that I used years ago on a yahoo email account. I'd heard that yahoo had been hacked; must've been true.

Only $867? They wanted about $8,000 from me.
