I don't know if I mentioned it in one of my prior post. When I saw my VA Doc for my semi-annual check Up the other day she ask probing questions about my mental state. She did it twice during the visit. Prior to coming in the exam Room, her nurse ask similar questions while getting my vitals. Later, during my blood draw, different nurse did the same. I was given a Magnetic card to put on my Fridge for the Crisis Hot-Line.

The VA is keenly aware of psychological effects of Covid-19

I got my TDAP vaccine yesterday. Arm not even sore. I am having a grandbaby pretty soon. Daughter wanted me to get an update shot. I haven't had a TDAP shot in probably 10 years after a little Chihuahua bit me during an appraisal inspection in backyard. The dog bite hurt and took a long time to heal. The shot didn't hurt. I think the tdap shots last like 10 years. They say the puncture wounds are serious from like a dog bite or rusty nail puncture are dangerous because the wound seals over before the body can get rid of the virus or whatever it is.

I would argue it has more to do with the psychological effects of a hysterical press and panic-stricken governors thinking they must absolutely be seen as combatting something that they don't know diddly about.
I don't disagree with you, and I bet the Med Staff at the VA see it that way also. All my SandBox Active & Vet Friends in my group have echoed the same questioning by the Mil Hospitals and VA Centers around the country

Yeah, but if they have a vaccine that is 95% effective? They know something. That's the scientist. Idk about governors.

I don't know what phase I am in yet to be able to get the shot. If the shot takes me out, I'm all for it. I would rather go by the shot than the virus.

 I'd take my chance if that's the choice. The side effects can be as much as anaphylactic shock - which can be really severe. My father was allergic to bee stings and would need an EpiPen to keep from going to shock. His eyes would swell shut within minutes even if stung on the hand or leg.
