I talked with my restaurant tenant and he said chicken prices went up almost double.
Not only do they have to get use to opening to public now, he has to consider high cost to operate restaurant.
He raised his prices $2.00 more on his menu.
The Fed said it's temporary and prices should get back to normal.
If not, we're heading to economic trouble.
And hurry and refinance while mortgage rates still low.

Gasoline prices will probably continue to rise. Since the current admin. Has put us back at the mercy of non domestic suppliers. High fuel prices guarantee rising prices for just about everything.

Long-term inflation always goes up.

FWIW, we have a recent example of what happens during an economic crisis. I remember back in the 2007-2008, after the bailouts, prices for many things went up, and never went back down.

Fernando when you get back from Hawaii let us know how that worked out : )

Right now there is the perfect storm of lingering covid supply chain disruptions accompanied by a demand rush coming out of the pandemic with everyone having a little bit of extra cash in their pocket. Hence higher prices. I hope that these supply issues get worked out before inflation can really take off. I don't think we saw the price spikes many were afraid of (myself included) coming out of the '08 recession.

Perfect scenario let rates go up in the coming several weeks. Then when I get back, let rates go back down.
I saw a house yesterday with rear waterfront. It's so nice to come back home and see the water. Maybe a second vacation home. Wouldn't mind in Hawaii for annual retreat from this rat race.

Finally getting my first trip to the islands coming up in October. Cross my fingers.

If Hawaii gets to 70% vaccination rate, mainlanders don't need to prove negative Covid Test.
Please, please reach 70% by time I go. Please.
