It crashes ~20 minutes. Sometimes more frequently. I have no idea why. It restarts quickly, but it's still a waste of time. Has anyone fixed a similar problem?

Nope. How much RAM do you have on your computer? Total eats a lot of memory to operate.

I am having the same problem. Fast, liquid cooled gaming machine running Windows 11 with plenty of everything here so it's hard to think of it as a hardware issue.

when total becomes 'quirky', sometimes it's very hard to find the problem. the next step is to totally uninstall the program, everything, including reports. it has to uninstall itself, deleting the program files will not help. the nice thing is that in total's utils 'tech support system' they have a back up program. you need to do this to a separate memory stick/card. now if you haven't taken the older report years out of the directory then this program will take a very long time to backup. and it may not do it if the memory stick/card if it doesn't have enough memory. it will tell you that. the reason you want to go this way is that this backup program will save your settings and quicklists. once your computer is clean of total you can reinstall it. then restore from the backup you reports, settings and quicklist. you can find this info in the help section of total.
the last alternative if that doesn't work is a complete clean & reinstall of windows, etc. just too much fun.
you should first run windows SFC program. it may find a corrupted windows file. it will correct any errors. i would do that 1st.

WHY would you upgrade before the software folks had a chance to work the bugs out???

Damn good question and anybody trying to run a business needs to keep that in mind. I've been able to work around my Windows 11 problems so far but I would be working faster if they didn't exist

Because it's Windows 10 with a new skin and the betas have been out for over a year. I figured the developers were on top of things. Total is the only program that has a problem.
