Annoying Pop-ups from Alamode

I pay for Silver Membership which is about $430.00 a year I think, I don't nee any of the other extra things they try to sell.

Forget the extras. Quicksource is $600 a year?
Maybe they should call it Quickprofit (for them). :cautious:

I don't like the pop ups and ads all the time. But I am mostly happy with the software and don't want the trouble of changing
The checkered flag called retirement should be coming up after not too many more laps.

I think Datamaster is like $1000 - $1200 per year.

No pop ups on ACI?

I think I'm starting to **** them off with all my emails, Tech requests, and Feedback EVERY time I get the damn popups. (just got the same pop up twice in less then 15 minutes) Last Friday, got a call from 'Mike" in the tech department, and when I said they need to go back to simply sending us emails when they have a new product feature, his response was, and I'm not kidding, "Appraisers tend to ignore emails".

Well no ****. If it's something that we don't want...yeah, we ignore it. What kind of stalker mentality is that. Sounds like Glen Close from "Fatal Attraction"..."I will NOT be ignored".

But instead of allowing us, the people that pay for the software, to express our free will....they would rather shove the Kool-aid down our throats.

I suggest, everyone send them comments every time they get these annoying popups, so that they get annoyed as much as we do.

The thing is.....everyone is attempting to make it easier for us to input comps.....but not every MLS is capable of supporting their algorisms. Which means you spend more time correcting the incorrect data, then if you were to input it manually yourself. So it's a waste of money if your MLS or local data is not as compatible.

No pop ups on ACI?
I was an ACI hardliner for about 15 years before switching to Wintotal in 2013. Wintotal and Aurora were not that different from ACI...all had their benefits and drawbacks. But when Total came out, I was one of the first appraisers to use it prior to being released to the public, and it was hands down better then ACI, Wintotal and Aurora. Now I can't speak to the current ACI, which I hear is much better then previous versions, but if Alamode keeps this crap up.....I'm think I'm going to have to try ACI again.

Well, it seems that I'm annoying them to the point that I no longer receive "Support Request" phone calls. Are they to busy to make phone calls to their paid subscribers? Well, we are too busy with work to be bothered by annoying popups. Called them this morning, asking for the Customer Support Manager by name, and this is the response. 'Well someone in a supervisory position will definately call you". --- But I don't want just anybody, I want Chris XXXXX. --- "I don't know if you will receive a call from him, but definately a supervisor". --- Well, The emails that state I will receive a response from from Chris XXXX, so I would like to talk to Chris XXXX concerning these lack of phone calls to your paid subscribers.--- I then proceeded to waste as much of the callers time as possible since he was talking fast and trying to get me off the phone as quickly as possible......not a chance. Asked him how is day was going so far....what his plans are for the upcoming weekend,...and the upcoming holiday.... "Slow down Matt....take your time....it sounds like you're trying to get rid of me.....I'm not taking time out of your day, am I?"

Called them quite a few times today, talked to a Supervisor named Michael. I think I pushed him to the edge with my calls. Being nice and polite the whole time, but calling every time he hung up on me, 'sorry, Michael...it's me again...I think we got disconnected...anyway, back to what we were talking about". He started to toss around hurtful, negative, words like "harrassment" and "Vindictive", and "threatening", but then threatened to have me "fired" from the software, which I assume means canceling my subscription. But I was being so kind on the phone.

There are alternatives out there and most have free trials.
