Germany has always been dependent on Russia for oil and gas and thats why Hitler Invaded it as his military equipment was running out of fuel. The Ukraine was part of USSR and we are now trying to block off Russia supply lines and to use Ukraine for military bases and oepartiins under the guise that its for NATO defensive purposes only. We are essentially trying to start a war with Russia as they know they have to get hold of that land again or be pinned in a corner. Biden says we will use economic pressure on Russia but he doesn't realzie he will be throwing Germany and France into a economic world of hell. BUT he is not real bright nor are his advisors so he will probaly add this to his long list of failures .

Not being picky, but the is no "The Ukraine" just like there is no The Canada or The Mexico.

The United States must do more than issue ultimatums about sanctions and economic penalties. U.S. leaders should be marshalling an international coalition of the willing, readying military forces to deter Putin and, if necessary, prepare for war.

If Russia prevails again, we will remain stuck in a crisis not just over Ukraine but about the future of the global order far beyond that country’s borders. Left unrestrained, Putin will move swiftly, grab some land, consolidate his gains, and set his sights on the next satellite state in his long game to restore all the pre-1991 borders: the sphere of geographical influence he deems was unjustly stripped from Great Russia.

The world will watch our response. Any subsequent acceptance of Russian gains will spell the beginning of the end of the international order. If Europe, NATO, and its allies in Asia and elsewhere fail to defend the foundational United Nations principles of sanctity of borders and state sovereignty, no one will. Any appeasement will only beget future land grabs not only from Putin, but also from China in Taiwan and elsewhere. And if the world’s democracies lack the political will to stop them, the rules-based international order will collapse. The United Nations will go the way of the League of Nations. We will revert to spheres of global influence, unbridled military and economic competition, and ultimately, world war.

Such pro-Christian and pro-family forces shouldn't even need tanks, they should be able to simply hold the Bible up like Trump did and let God turn all the godless Ukrainians into pillars of salt. And I'm certainly grateful that my ancestors deviated from yours somewhere down the line.

God doesn't like wars but all men do as its a way to plunder your neighbors land and goods. In Russians place a buffer between them and our intrusion into their territory using NATO as an excuse. We are poking the bear by pretending Ukraine will become a member of NATO and this is intentional saber rattling . Russia has to take back Ukraine as we are not to be trusted.

Russia is really no longer communist. It does have a very small Communist Party. But the main political party is rather "Conservative Nationalist".

Thus you will see that many conservatives no longer regard Russia as a major threat - while of course the Far Left of the Democrat Party, views it as a total enemy.

So, also consider that Ukraine is on their border, the population is largely Russian speaking and many of its citizens are pro-Russian. Further, conservative and other political elements in much of non-neighboring Europe, are not that upset or afraid of the Russians.

We shouldn't be involved. China is a far more imposing threat to our country.

Germany will move forward with their plans and there is nothing that can be done. Germany doesn't want nuclear and they don't want to burn coal. And environmental can't supply all the energy they need. So, they will buy gas where it is cheapest and the source most reliable.

The US is absolutely wasting it's time talking about shutting down Nord Stream. It's not going to happen.

Russia may very well well invade the Ukraine. No matter what happens this year, it will not give up trying to take over the country one way or another. If Germany is not going support Ukrainian independence, the Russians will be able to do pretty much what they want. It is just a question of when and where (how large of steps they take each at stage of the game).

Exactly Today's Russia is less Communist than say our Progressive Wing of the Woke Socail Democrats. They like us are closer to an oligarchy with Putin as the politcal chairmen. They also are more conservative as to family values and not gay and transgender friendly and so we do not perceive them to be a threat and as long as we allow them to be a big gas station we are going to be fine. Europe like America is crippleing them self's with this idea we are going to go electrical and solar in 15 years. NATO is a big $$$ suck and want us to be there to protect them. All said Americas agendas both socil and economically do not fit into Russia or China's and after they see the mess we have made nobody wants to have this kind of a broken Democracy as its regressive not progressive.
