When you consider who was marching in Charlottesville in support of Donald Trump, our own "Conservative Nationalist" why do you think it's stupid to compare that that movement to the Nazi party of Germany? The countries in NATO are safe as long as NATO is safe, when the United States gives up on the idea NATO is finished and will succumb to Russian nuclear blackmail in short order. I think Germany got spooked and decided to seek accommodations with the bully on the block now that their American bodyguards have given up on them.

Germany is not spooked by so-called Russian nuclear blackmail. They want their gas, because it is another source and the more sources so much the better.

Germany and Russia are going to be getting closer and making more deals in the future. That handwriting was on the wall 50 years ago.

We are just going to waste more money on Russia; they will dig in and negotiate more with Europe. The balance of power will shift and with that so many other things that are currently in our favor, such as the power of the dollar.

The Ukraine is a pigsty - a good place to loose a fortune. Let the Russians have it, but no more.

No, you were busy teaching me about "Conservative Nationalism" and I want to learn some more about that, not more deflection about how they don't compare to the Nazis when Nazis were openly marching for our president. I think that the "conservative nationalism" of this century is exhibiting all the signs of pre-World War II Europe. I'm sorry if that comparison makes you too uncomfortable to discuss the subject. We can always go back to drones & regression software, I appreciate your input on those!

You don't listen. It doesn't make any sense for you to say "I want to learn some more about that", "that" being "Conservative Nationalism" - as if it were some kind of subject in and of itself. It's meaning depends on the context in which it is used, in this case we are talking about a specific political party in a specific country.

Getting back to the Ukraine, just remember it is the site of the worlds largest nuclear disaster - Chernobyl. Consider that another indication of why this particular country is not desirable. And as in the previous post, the Ukraine has not shown that it can survive with capitalism. Something is wrong the damn country. Let the Russians have it. We just ought to give it to them, otherwise they will just take the good part, and leave the Chernobyl area for others to clean-up. (It's still a big problem, BTW).

The Ukraine is not part of NATO. No, we can't prevent Russia from invading the Ukraine and taking a portion of it. We can impose sanctions, for what that is worth. But if Russia is willing to pay that price, then there is nothing that can be done - given that Germany is blocking other European countries from moving their arms to the Ukraine.

Of course "America is on their side" because we support the right of people to self-determination. Well, kind of. But it costs money, and there have to be priorities as a matter of common sense. The Ukraine is not as important as the NATO countries.

America needs to remember the Sudetenland in the late 1930's. Germany said 'that's our land, we want it back' and the west said, 'Sure, go right ahead. After all it is populated by Germans'. Russia is using the same premise under a dictatorial leadership determined to recreate the Soviet Union. A bite here, a bite there, with no resistance, and you have Russia threatening Poland, Hungary, etc, with no one standing up and saying no. Same thing is happening in the South China Sea and even South America and the Caribbean with Chinese incursions. We stand up against them or we will be faced with much stronger adversaries with weak or no allies.

Americans who carry- Nazi -Flags are 90% Neo-Nazis who are mostly fascists who also like authoritarian leader ship. Also many of them are shills placed at Trump Activities by Social Democratic Groups to try and make Trump look like a White racists and fascist. Just like the Canadian Truckers with NAZI and Confederate Flags they are not Anti-Jew but are saying to Canada your Leader is a fashionistas dictator.
