This Won't end Well for Germany

Anthony Brown in 1975 Bodyguard of Lies Volume II writes that:

Patton was relieved of command of the 3rd Army by Eisenhower just after the end of the war for stating publicly that America had been fighting the wrong enemy— Germany instead of Russia
In Phillip Coleman’s 1987 book Cannon fodder: growing up for Vietnam the exact quote is:

We may have been fighting the wrong enemy (Germany) all along. But while we're here (on the Soviet border), we should go after the bastards now, 'cause we're gonna have to fight 'em eventually.
In a 1953 article written by Red Cross worker Betty South entitled "We Called Him Uncle Georgie", originally published in The National Guardsman South says:

When he went to Berlin to receive the kiss of death from the Russians he remarked shortly, "I think we've been fighting the wrong people all this time, but I've oiled my belly so I can stay with them on the Vodka. My front will be as good as theirs."
So yes, there is ample evidence of Patton making this quote. The context is clear. He saw Stalin for who he was-much more brutal and ruthless than the Germans. He believed sincerely that there would be war with the Soviets and believed the US should want the Germans on their side to defeat the Communists.

Patton was right in his observations, but as was the case on many occasions, was politically incorrect in how he expressed his sentiments and suffered the consequences.

75 Years of History has Proved General Patton and General MacArthur were both wrong as one wanted to Nuke the Russians and the other wanted to Nuke the Chinese. Our troops were worn down from years of battles and Americans were in no mood to get into two new world wars involving Nuclear Bombs.

Russia was our Allie and without them Germany would have been a rough road. Luckily cooler heads prevailed as all generals and Admirals love wars that what they live for. Today Russia has never attacked us nor has China. Our days of Manifest Destiny are over as are our days of controlling the world.

Russia is not threatening any NATO county as Ukraine belongs to them and Britain had a lease on Hong Kong and when it expired it went back to its rightful owner which is China. The Island of Taiwan was always a part of China until we moved Chiang-Kai-Sheck and his troops there and he with our stole it from the Chinese- Initially- Chiang Kai Sheck declared Marshall Law and immediately started what was called the white terror we used him for military bases and he held power for 46 years. never lost an election because people who voted against him suddenly found dead . Mike Lesson #1 now you are one step closer to knowing a little bit about Russia and China and why we have no need of getting into a nuclear war over a few Islands and the Ukraine because we are going to let them take back their land. *** NOTE: As Texas party Chair Of Social Democrats and Leftists please share this with them and your next woke-dope meeting.

It seems as though after 75 years Patton and MacArthur are both being proven right, not wrong. What happened to Republicans who were fond of saying "freedom is on the march" under Bush? "Freedom" is a powerful concept that we can use to rally people across the globe to our causes as long as they believe we will support them and not abandon the cause in their time of need (as we did with Hong Kong and appear to be doing with Ukraine). And we can do that "on the cheap", weakening Russia and China from within as they have done to us by steadfastly and resolutely proclaiming that their systems of government are EVIL and should be replaced by democracies. Chiang-Kai-Sheck held Donald Trump's view towards elections, they were only legitimate if he won. We still have some economic weight to throw around to prod countries into the correct form of government. So saith the "Texas party chair of social Democrats and leftists". Now I'm ready for "Lesson #2". Given that we are affixing "labels" to the discourse, are your "Nationalist" political views similar to any other political movements in recent history that scholars would be familiar with? If so, which one? Do you have a symbol for it? If not, I have a suggestion…

Early Chinese histories refer to visits to eastern islands that some historians identify with Taiwan. Troops of the Three Kingdoms state of Wu are recorded as visiting an island known as Yizhou (夷洲) in the 3rd century. The Book of Sui relates that Emperor Yang of the Sui dynasty sent three expeditions to a place called "Liuqiu" early in the 7th century.[22] Later the name Liuqiu (whose characters are read in Japanese as "Ryukyu") referred to the island chain to the northeast of Taiwan, but some scholars believe it may have referred to Taiwan in the Sui period. Okinawa Island was referred to by the Chinese as "Great Liuqiu" and Taiwan as "Lesser Liuqiu".[23]

The Yuan dynasty Kublai Khan sent officials to the Ryukyu Kingdom in 1292 to demand its loyalty to the Yuan Dynasty, but the officials ended up in Taiwan and mistook it for Okinawa. After three soldiers were killed, the delegation immediately retreated to Quanzhou in China.

Portuguese sailors, passing Taiwan in 1544, first jotted in a ship's log the name of the island Ilha Formosa, meaning "Beautiful Island". In 1582, the survivors of a Portuguese shipwreck spent ten weeks battling malaria and aborigines before returning to Macau on a raft.[24]

By the 16th century, increasing numbers of Chinese fishermen, traders and pirates were visiting the southwestern part of the island. When the Dutch arrived in 1623, they found about 1,500 Chinese visitors and residents.[25]
