Fiberglass Tape Recommendation(?)

1650658357844.png1650658641435.pngThese are appraiser specific tapes. The Adir is quite a bit cheaper on Amazon than the Sokkia is on Forestry supply. I didn't check if Amazon has the Sokkia - it wasn't on the first page that popped up.

An advantage with big tapes is that I can use it as a weapon if attacked especially crazy dog.

are you talking about the home owner of your last appraisal?

I reinforce 100 ft fiberglass on the end. I wear them out. I reinforce the very end with duct tape or glue and drywall mesh to keep end from breaking off. I have 25 ft steel tape I use for short measurements. I carry laser too for inside measurements upstairs and garages or whatever.

If you could find one that has really strong end, it would be good tape. What tends to happen is the hook on end of tape will break loose on fiberglass over time. If it happens in the field, it is not good time.

I love my 25 ft "Stanley" steel tape. It is rusted and almost wore out. The next 25 ft steel tape I buy will be a Stanley.. It will extend about 8 ft without bending much or collapsing. It's excellent 25 ft steel tape.

I tried longer than 25 ft steel tape and hated it. Fiberglass is definitely way to go. Get one with strong end.

I used Sokkia tapes my entire career, graduated in tenths, excellent product.
