Should there be an adjustment for Pickle Ball Courts?

From Sadie's article in Lake Oswego (a very upscale neighborhood). I've also noticed they tend to shout more than tennis players. Ignore reporting the issue at your peril.

"For many months, homeowners who live near the courts have complained that the noise from pickleball paddles striking the ball at all hours of the day has proven grating and even harmed their mental and physical well-being.

"Oftentimes the noise from pickleball was about twice as loud as the background noise, Miller said. The noise levels were often considered to be moderate but reached what is considered loud at times as well.
I though it a little odd when it made the local news. Must have been a slow day.

What about being next to a pool. When my kids get in a pool, I promise its a lot noisier than some pickle ball game.

From what I can tell, the whining is louder than the noise of folks enjoying themselves and getting a little exercise.

The noise level difference between tennis and pickle ball is directly related to the level of alcohol drank by the participants

Some friends down in the Villages, FL (geriatric daycare neighborhood) live about 100 yds. from a pball court. It starts at dawn and goes well into the night. It is annoying and they both play. They are looking at moving within the same area but farther away from the courts.

She says that pball is an orthopedic surgeons cash cow. The geezers are constantly breaking ankles and hips, sometimes worse when they fall.

She also said there were some players upset one day because they missed their scheduled time. Seems a player had a heart attack and died on the court and they kept everyone off all of the courts until the meat wagon came to retrieve the body. I'm sure they could have played around the body.

Seniors are a PITA and I am one but since so many have too much time on their hands, they look for things to complain about, if it snot a pickle ball court , its a Golf Cart was going too fast. The truth is there is no way to please them.
