There is no such thing as unconditional compassion and understanding. All those laws apply to me the same as them. If I have to comply on penalty of getting punished then "equal" applies to them, too.

Everyone knows what the posted speed limit is. People commonly can and do choose to break that one under certain circumstances and to risk the consequences for getting caught. I commit that offense myself, on the regular. What I don't do is complain about the potential consequences if/when I get caught. If I get caught I'll accept the outcome without the power snivel. I can't commit the offense 1000 times and then complain about how unfair society is when my luck finally does run out on my most recent offense.

And if you were required to dress your male sons in dresses to comply with the dress code of the school which they are required to attend, would you just meekly comply? Or would you engage in "a little civil disobedience for freedom"? And how would you feel if the proponents of male dresses simply said, "sux to be you".

15 years ago some of them were working in boilerrooms and originating loans. But I'm sure most of them were just getting their lives back together and getting ready to go to computer school.

seems like just today I was reading some posts that had to do with a flow of money, and it wasn't his fault, he was a lawyer, that's what got him an international job.

Do you think that the arrest records of all the protesters who were arrested in the South during the civil rights movement should be expunged? If not, why not? "Interactions with the police" shouldn't be a scarlet letter. No matter how much the police would like them to be.
