I got an email today from state board in voluntarily do a survey asking question like age, race, years doing appraisal, planning to renew, and how many years left.
CA cares about appraisers.

BREA is doing this to support data that appraisers are 97% white and most over 55 years old. That data will be used to create a new model going forward. It has nothing to do with caring about appraisers .

These people regulate lenders. They have been nice to appraisers except Appraisal Institute.

They are not going after appraisers. They are going after bigger fish.
