The New USPAP

This is the career you have chosen. Try actually reading and understanding USPAP instead of complaining about doing what is required to maintain appraiser credentials. BTW, please tell me anything in the new USPAP that impacts the way you do appraisals.... assuming that you were complying with USPAP before the current version.

If you reviewed appraisals much, you might start to understand why a USPAP CE class is required every 2 years. I see appraisal reports that contain USPAP violations nearly every work day.
If USPAP was easier to understand, there would be less violations you encounter everyday.
There's no reason USPAP has to have so many pages. It can be shortened.

So... you just can't be bothered to put in the work to become knowledgeable about the standards that govern your chosen field?

i can't either. could be shortened, but then the profit goes down with the book price. the questions and answer part is more helpful.

When we get harder, our memory is not as good as when we were younger.
USPAP needs to make it simpler since most appraisers are old.

Do you know on what page SR2 ends on?

I'll give you a hint - There are a lot of SFR reports that have more pages. We sometimes annoyed if our readers don't read them all.

Can you look?
The PREAMBLE starts on pg1
SR2 ends on pg what?

When I was younger, there was a fellow appraiser who go in trouble with the real estate board.
I didn't ask him about the details but he knew the Standards very well from the obtuse USPAP back. Must have learned the hard way.

After this many years and this many passes through the CE course, if you did try to understand the material then you'd know where to find the answer to the question.

Which BTW speaks directly to what an appraiser can and cannot understand of the material.

Why do you think I usually post a screen grab from USPAP (and almost never from an AO or FAQ) when answering a question? Because the answer to that question is in the source material itself. With only a couple of FIRREA-related exceptions, the other material is otherwise just an elaboration thereof.
