Kennedy is really stirring it up with his proposed ban on food dyes, petroleum based food additives, and yesterday, he called sugar a poison. Heads must be exploding in the sugar cane fields.

I don't disagree with that stance at all, but targeting sugar has a way of fizzling out. Michelle Obama made the same mistake, and the industry lobbyists were able to course correct in a hurry.

We will see if sugar subsidies remain in place. I have a feeling they won't be.

Corn syrup, which is in all foods having replaced sugar, is more the poison than sugar. The body reacts faster to corn syrup than sugar. Sugar would be healthier if they didn't take out the brown stuff, molassis. The health problems you see, will eventually see, in today's young and old people comes from the wrong diet. And our food can be loaded with bad things, paid for by the lobbyist in washington, dc.
