That's not his job. Appraisers are lower level manager job's not political and frankly you already are independent and can do anything you want.

It's not anybody's job to assure you are happy or making a living. Only you can control your career or lack of having one.

Unless a law is enforced it's just another suggestion and don't pay any attension to it. Your only independence is being able to voice your opinion.

There are no independence police working for appraisers. It's always been every man on his own. That's why they don't get real job's it requires following rules and not complaining.

but again that's not a big priority in the over haul of the GSEs.

There are many important issues to deal with and keeping appraisers happy is the lenders and the AMC's job. Those are who you need to be having conversations with as they are the loan originators who hire your services not the GSEs.
