FHA Lowering Requirements

It may not be required, but appraisers can go above minimum requirements with respect to side photos or such. Am sure lenders will still want to see them. Can't understand these moves, seems less responsible wirt their mantra of risk management.

Few appraisers even read the releases so not much will change.

Maybe I am missing something but in the above I did not see where MLS comp photos and no attic photo are okay? It sure would make FHA work easier.
The language requiring them has been struck out (see attached). Now it's just "Front View of each comparable utilized", interpret that as you wish.

The minimum standards. If you really want to be a professional, you aren't satistified delivering the least that you can get by with.

An appraiser can be professional delivering what the client wants requires. A Restricted Report is very minimal. Are you saying that delivering a restricted report is unprofessional?

A professional report is one that produces a credible value for the client's needs; its a quality/credibility vs. quantity issue. The values reported today in 30- 40 pg reports are no more credible than the 10-15 pg reports of yesteryear.
