Thanks for explaining that, I was feeling left out! That dude makes my skin crawl, so I wasn't going to come up with that information on my own.

Is it just me?
I check the weather and if anticipated to rain for certain on certain days, I avoid making appointments on those days.
I don't like to get wet or going into someone's house all wet.

So... Don't. I did the 'neither rain nor sleet nor... ' etc thing for a while. Then, I decided not to inspect property while it's raining or if the temperature is below 30F. My income hasn't suffered.

Using that criteria I wouldn’t be appraising about four months of the year and about 60 days during the warmer months. Dress accordingly and suck it up. On nice days people will always say it must be nice to be able to work outside, and I tell them It is and that they are welcomed to join me in January when it is close to 0 degrees, blowing and snowing.

I don’t do it anymore. That’s my answer. We had rain last night and are in severe drought.

Just about the same way here. Doesn't get quite as cold for long periods of time. But there is a reason we say "welcome to Ohio. If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes and it will change". I can remember one year where we had almost 2 feet of snow. The forecast was below or near freezing temps for the next couple of weeks. So no hope of the snow melting and when it did get warm enough you ended up with a week of slop. So I went tromping through 2 feet of snow. Better than wading through melting snow, slush and mud

I melt in rain. When the heat index is like 115 where I work, I look like I have been in the rain when I go inside. Temp is like 97 and humidity level about the same. I say let me come early in morning. When is your first available. I am not doing 3:00 in afternoon.

I am not doing it in a thunderstorm either or heavy rain.

I is sweet this week. My time slots are open. Low humidity. 67 degrees outside this afternoon. Low of 44 degrees tonight forcasted.

Did inspection this morning.

In this kind of weather, whatever is convenient for you is fine with me.

People that live in Memphis area and served in Iraq are like it was hotter in Irag on temperature but we didn't sweat because the air was dry. They say the humidity is what gets you in Memphis.
