I am not doing the 3.6 FORM deal

Personally, I don't love old school style desktop Windows apps and am biased as someone who runs a web based software business and prefers Mac and Linux. But SFREP is stable and UAD 3.6 ready and not much different than what appraisers are used to with Total and previous version of Appraise-It Pro (and existing version of ClickFORMS). I appreciate that SFREP and Bradford are small independent companies and not "the man" like Alamode/Cotality and ACI. The solution I think will be most compelling is Nighthawk which is a different approach than "form filling", but that is tbd.

Banger of an episode:

i think it was george who used to tell me that independent means not controlled by others... :rof:
What I told you was that appraiser independence means isolating the appraisal from the used car salesman LARPing as a "loan broker" who doesn't even make loan decisions.

15 years later and you still haven't gotten over it. Even divorced exes are less fixated on their losses.

LinkedIn is on fire, they are celebrating like they landed a man on the moon. The arse kissing is epic.

It's beginning to resemble an Amway convention using FOMO as a tried and true method to frighten people into getting in on the ground floor. One thing I will say about this industry, the "notables" have practically zero credibility when you ask tape pullers their honest opinion. Whatever happened to the Fannie rascals who were charged with all those crimes a few months ago? Are they in jail, awaiting trial or are they on special assignment perfecting the PDC products?

So which one is it: appraisers are mad nobody is ready, and also mad that some are?

And from an implementation standpoint, it is a pretty darn big lift for the software providers from a political (standards are a moving target) and technology standpoint. I'm glad I never got into the report software game...
