According to google, Windows 11 has had 17 updates this year. It is a big PITA. Linux? 4 kernal releases... nothing you call a real "update".

I see now that I have updated after delaying it a week or more, ads are back even with an ad blocker.

Sing to the tune of Penelope Pit Stop calling for Underdog.

Oh where oh where can Windows 7 be, oh where oh where can it beeeeee.

My fave was Windows XP. After that, each version of Windows was updated to make it bloated with needless features and more unstable to use.

Yea, window XP was very twirky. I learned everything survival, needed to work correctly with Xp, having to tweak, or figure out every new problem win 8 gave you.

17 seems low. I've never had to restart my computer more to get my computer working. I typically leave it on in the office and found I was losing connection to my apps.

My wife has been having this with her work provided laptop for months now. Every app requires login and she cannot stay connected for more than a few minutes at a time. Pretty sure better than 25% of her working hours are taken up with tech support. They fix it for a day or two and then it comes back.

as been having this with her work provided laptop
My little laptop requires me to log in to my health provider portal and refuses to save the log in. So, i have to log in my email address and a password. Meanwhile in the office on Win 10, I can open the app and one click puts the log in and password in the space and I go to it immediately.
