Latest Appraiser Bias Lawsuit

It's pretty obvious the family disliked Tony. Sold the corner one and kept the middle one to make things difficult for Tony. Tony could buy the corner lot at 1504 from the new owner, but then he would still have a difficult-shaped lot for multi-family. If Tony is able to get the middle lot at 1506, but not the corner lot at 1504, then he would have more options.
 
I've stopped appraising in certain areas due to "safety concerns".
 
On commingling of fees on truth in lending disclosures, HUD is not out of sight on a consumer protection lawyer focused on truth in lending and fair housing. HUD could in deep doo doo.

HUD could very easily be a target in a class action lawsuit. It would all be around fair housing data that HUD collects and commingling of fees on truth in lending disclosures.
 
I recently came across some bias lawsuits from the 90's. It doesn't seem like these cases are anything new. They are just getting more media attention these days.
Everything in real estate runs in cycles. I remember having to take a mandatory Fair Housing Training back in the 90s. :)

Well that is probably true, So what will happen? Class action OK will their be an monetary award maybe. all that would mean is the us taxpayer would pay that judgement and things will change This will not happen overnight.

So I don't know what you mean when you say " HUD could in deep doo doo." little dramatic from my view Nobody is going to jail

Also this has been going o over numerous HUD Secretaries

they have no solutions...the insurance bunch uses two appraisals and an umpire if necessary...oh well the war is not meant to be won but to be continuous :rof:
